A Week of Haiku: Week One, Tuesday's Card.
This is an original, one-of-a-kind mixed-media collage ACEO ("Art Card, Edition and Original").
Regular and metallic acrylic, gloss varnish, and cut paper on 140 lb Canson watercolor paper.
Dark blue-on-blue handmade "Tibetan Cloud" print paper (shown in the background) is adhered to the back of the card. The back is initialed and dated by the artist.
3.5 x 2.5 inches (standard ACEO size) with rounded corners.
The cut-paper haiku reads:
As she worked, she called
continuously, filling
for several hours,
color of the nest
the tangle of nestlings, then
black-and-flame-colored

A new card will be created and posted each day, beginning on Sunday. At the end of the week the seven cards will be packaged into a set, and will be available for sale from the haiku bird shop at etsy.com: haikubird.etsy.com
